Downtown Memphis Commission approves new PILOT policy
The Center City Revenue Finance Corp. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, approved significant changes to one of its often-used payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) programs.
An affiliate board of the Downtown Memphis Commission (DMC), the board has been discussing changes to the incentive program since last summer.
The DMC and St. Louis-based PGAV Planners partnered on a report highlighting changes to the PILOT program using comparable cities and similar incentive programs.
