Novice cyclists learn biking ‘baby steps’ at Downtown Memphis class
Four local adults geared up at the Tennessee Welcome Center off Riverside Drive at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 3, for the first Beginner Biker class hosted by the Downtown Memphis Commission and Explore Bike Share.
The free class is specifically geared toward adults that don’t know how to ride a bike and gives step-by-step training on how to become acquainted with and feel comfortable riding on EBS bicycles. EBS is a local nonprofit bike share organization with 300 bikes at more than 35 stations throughout Memphis, with the most popular station located in Shelby Farms Park.
