Beginner Biking
The Core TMA is offering a free beginner’s bicycling course for adults. Using Explore Bike Share bikes, the course is aimed at teaching adults to ride or allowing adults to practice bicycling skills.
Beginner Biking is a free bike skills course for adults who have never ridden a bike. The course teaches basic bike-riding skills and safety tips from experts. Those with bicycling experience can get support with skills such as signaling, turning, and interacting with other people biking or walking.
The Beginner Biking course runs for two hours and is designed for adults 18 and older. Each two-hour lesson allows students to learn the basic skills they need to be comfortable riding a bicycle based on their experience level. The classes are taught using Explore Bike Share bikes, provided at no cost, along with a personal helmet for each adult student. Participants can also bring and use their own bikes for the lesson.
You must register to participate in the course as space is limited, and classes are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. To sign up, fill out the registration form here.
