South Main development: $1.5 million permit filed to create ‘lifestyle hub’

Commercial Appeal. September 2, 2020. Memphis real estate developer Gabriel Velasquez filed a $1.5 million permit Tuesday to redevelop a vacant property at 64 S. Main St. into a mixed-use “lifestyle hub” for the neighborhood. Velasquez previously said the project could include offices and co-working spaces, rental spaces for pop-up shops, a boutique fitness center with gym equipment and group classes and eateries.

Paper & Clay Plans Move to South Main, Seeks Renovation Grant

August 12,2020. A growing, Memphis-based ceramic business needs more space and plans to move to Downtown’s South Main from the Broad Avenue Arts District. Paper & Clay will lease 525 S. Main and seeks a $30,000 Retail Tenant Improvement Grant from the Center City Development Corp.
