The NASCSP vision calls for the empowerment of individuals and families with low-incomes. NASCSP helps states attain full utilization of resources to implement an extensive array of services to individuals and families. These include energy assistance, child care, employment, state energy programs and housing in urban, suburban, and rural communities. The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), administered by the states, provides core funding to local agencies to reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities and empower low-income families to become self-sufficient.
The NASCSP 2024 Annual Training Conference is a five-day, immersive experience offering valuable opportunities for state administrators, state associations, local eligible entities, and other professionals from around the country to come together and discuss strategies for meeting new challenges in improved performance, innovation, and accountability in the fight to change the face of poverty across the nation.
