Freeman resigns from National Civil Rights Museum

Terri Lee Freeman, president of the National Civil Rights Museum since 2014, has resigned effective Feb. 3, the museum announced Thursday, Dec. 3.
During her six-year tenure, Freeman oversaw the museum’s year-and-a-half-long commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination at the Lorraine Motel. The site is now the nucleus of the museum.
