Huge Downtown office building identified for potential sale
The federal government briefly posted — and then took down — a list of properties that it plans to sell, including a couple huge Memphis facilities.
On Tuesday, March 4, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) published and soon thereafter removed a list of 443 federally owned properties nationwide that it intends to sell.
Two of those are in Memphis: the 347,000-square-foot Odell Horton Federal Building at 167 N. Main St. Downtown and 891,000-square-foot Internal Revenue Service Center at 5333 Getwell Road, at the corner with Holmes Road, southeast of Memphis International Airport.
