Music and food are known to bring people together no matter their creed, and for local band Southern Avenue, their city is an open invitation to join in the revelry. “I think when people come to Memphis, they may be starting a new journey,” says drummer Tikyra “TK” Jackson. “It may be trying to start over, but one thing about it is once you are here, you are part of the fold.”
