St. Patrick’s Day parade paints Downtown Memphis green
Harsh winds and heavy morning storms couldn’t keep Memphians from celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, March 15.
Hundreds flocked to Downtown Memphis to see the 52nd annual Silky Sullivan St. Patrick’s Day Parade along Beale Street.
Those marching in the parade include city Mayor Paul Young, the Memphis Gaelic Athletic Association, the Boll Weevils and Memphis Grizzlies legend Tony Allen, whose No. 9 jersey will be retired in a Saturday evening celebration.
