Finance Department
The Finance Department is responsible for general administration of financial policies and budgets and works in conjunction with the City of Memphis and the Shelby County Assessor to administer the CBID assessment. The department also handles personnel management and oversees administration of the DMC offices.

Marketing & Communications
The Marketing Department is responsible for promoting Downtown, bringing vibrancy with events and animation, and assisting with recruitment and retention of Downtown businesses, residents, and visitors. Departmental functions include public relations, special events, market research, advertising, and production of internal and external communication materials.

Operations
The Operations Department is responsible for making Downtown Memphis more pleasant by enhancing cleanliness, attractiveness, friendliness, and sense of security. The department includes the Blue Suede Brigade (our safety and hospitality team), the Clean and Green Program/team. The department manages the Main Street Mall, DMC/CCDC-owned property, maintainence of DMA-owned garages, and coordinates certain Downtown public improvements.

Planning & Development
The Planning & Development Department plans and facilitates the redevelopment & economic growth of Downtown Memphis. This department conducts neighborhood revitalization planning and administers financial incentives to improve Downtown's built environment, actively recruits new business, facilitates development, provides design review, and supports development projects.
