Main Street Sounds

The Downtown Memphis Commission is thrilled to relaunch Main Street Sounds, our live music and busking program activating the heart of Downtown Memphis.

From April to October, Main Street Mall will come alive with local musicians and street performers bringing energy, soul, and rhythm to your downtown experience. Whether you're grabbing coffee, shopping local, or meeting friends for dinner, you’ll be greeted with the sounds of Memphis along the way.

Performers will pop up on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during the lunch and dinner hours:

  • Wednesday lunch – 2hrs. (11:30 am to 1:30 pm)
  • Friday lunch – 2hrs. (11:30 am to 1:30 pm)
  • Friday dinner – 3hrs. (5pm to 8pm)
  • Saturday brunch – 3hrs. (11am to 1pm)

The program will span the Main Street Mall corridor from Jefferson Avenue to Peabody Place, with scheduled performers activating Court Square entrance on Main Street, 86 S. Main, and the southern end of Main Street Mall.
