Join the largest neighborhood association in downtown for our 2nd Annual "Meal on Main" - A community dinner hosted right on Main Street in Downtown Memphis!

The Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) of Memphis is proud to announce its inaugural “Meal on Main” event, set for Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 4:30–8 PM. This one-of-a-kind community dinner will transform Main Street between MLK Jr. Avenue and Pontotoc Avenue into a vibrant, open-air dining room complete with long rows of tables draped in crisp white linens, elegant white chairs, and glowing overhead string lights.

The evening’s menu will be prepared by acclaimed Chef Jimmy Gentry of The Lobbyist, a celebrated Downtown restaurant located right on the event block. Guests will enjoy a curated dining experience featuring two chef-prepared protein options with sides, cooked over an open flame on Main Street itself.

The celebration begins with a Social Hour, sponsored by Red Bull, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM, featuring discounted cocktails and live music. Dinner will be served from 5:30–7:30 PM, followed by a lively hour of discounted cocktails, mingling and music to close out the night.

“Meal on Main is more than just a dinner—it’s a celebration of all we’ve accomplished together as neighbors this year. As we gather at one long table, we’re reminded of the strength, pride, and unity that make our downtown community so special. What better way to close out a year of success with the Downtown Neighborhood Association than by breaking bread together under the lights of Main Street?” said Jerred Price, President of the Downtown Neighborhood Association.

“I’m excited to partner with my DNA board on Meal on Main, working alongside downtown staples like The Lobbyist and Old Dominick to bring our community together in celebration and support of our Downtown community,” added Elizabeth Sullivan, DNA Secretary and Event Co-Planner.
