This is an all-day event featuring filmmaking workshops and screenings of short films made by students from Memphis and around the world! All screenings and workshops are completely FREE of charge to students by registering for a youth fest pass.

Kick off the day with The Slingshot Effect, a special interactive presentation from Hollywood screenwriter of film & TV, Hennah Sekander! We all know that every film or tv show starts with a script. But...how do you actually take an idea and turn it into an exciting story ready for the screen? Join Hollywood writer Hennah Sekander (The Terminal List, The Old Man) as she guides you through the creative process of screenwriting. Hennah's presentation and exercises will fill your mind with new ideas for your next - or first - film project!
