As part of the Catalyst for Change series, join us for a compelling fireside chat with Art Gilliam, President and CEO of WLOK Radio, whose groundbreaking leadership helped redefine the landscape of Southern media and Black-owned broadcasting. A true pioneer, Gilliam was the first African American columnist at The Commercial Appeal and the first Black television anchor in Memphis, before making history again by founding WLOK as the city’s first Black-owned and locally owned radio station.
