With his warm smile and unwavering kindness, “Mr. Nate” Nathaniel Barnes has been a beloved presence in the upstairs corner bar of Earnestine & Hazel’s for over 30 years—long enough to have known both Earnestine and Hazel personally (he even briefly dated Hazel!).

Over the decades, Mr. Nate has welcomed guests from around the world—from neighborhood regulars to celebrities like Danny DeVito—always making everyone feel right at home in South Main and the greater Memphis community.

Now it’s our turn to show up for him. Join us as we celebrate Mr. Nate and raise funds to support him and his family during this time of health challenges
