The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the team will host Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Wednesday, Oct. 8, as the Grizzlies tip-off against the Boston Celtics at 7 p.m. in their second 2025-26 preseason matchup.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Grizzlies will recognize and celebrate 10 breast cancer survivors throughout the night. The survivors will enjoy the game from a suite and participate in multiple in-game activations, including a T-shirt toss and a trick shot challenge.
Multiple non-profit organizations, including American Cancer Society, Shelby County Health Department, Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition and West Cancer Foundation, will table on the concourse at FedExForum to raise awareness and pass out promotional items. A mobile mammography unit, provided by Baptist Women’s Health Center, will be on site providing breast cancer screening information, and an oversized American Cancer Society inflatable pink chair will be available for photos to all fans from 5-7 p.m. off the Big River Steel Plaza outside.
Grizzlies players will be decked out in “We Wear Pink” T-shirts pregame, and coaches will wear lapel pins during the game to further emphasize the importance of breast cancer awareness
