Metal Marvels is a free summer camp at the Metal Museum for Title I Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) high school students aged 14-18. This camp integrates metal artmaking with scientific studies like astronomy, botany, archeology, and cryptozoology. Metal Marvels demonstrates how STEM subjects can be engaging and enjoyable through creative activities such as forging, casting, and enameling. Students learn valuable metalworking techniques and scientific principles, fostering imaginative thinking and problem-solving. The camp concludes with a celebration at the Metal Museum, where students showcase their artwork and participate in activities with their families. It runs for two weeks from 9am–12pm, July 23–26 and July 30–August 2.
