In partnership with Dr. Telisa Franklin and Memphis Juneteenth, the Orpheum Theatre Group is proud to host a special screening of Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk, featuring a live prescreening performance by Singa B in honor of Juneteenth. The Balcony Project exhibit located on the Beale Street side of the theatre will also be open from 3 PM to 6:30 PM before the film.

Based on the novel by James Baldwin, If Beale Street Could Talk is the story of Tish, a newly engaged Harlem woman who races against the clock to prove her lover's innocence while carrying their first born child to term.
