Memphis Astronomical Society welcomes stargazers of all ages to explore the wonders of the universe during a daytime solar observation at the Cossitt library! The afternoon will begin with an indoor presentation to foster a greater understanding of the celestial wonders that surround us and then we will head to the back of the library for an astronomical journey viewing the sky above Mud Island and the Mississippi River.
M.A.S. will monitor weather and cloud cover forecasts as the date approaches and determine whether observing will be feasible that day. If cancellation is permitted, The alternate rain/weather date will be Thursday, June 11 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
