Join us Friday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m., for a memorable celebration of the restoration of our iconic 1935 Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ, featuring the triumphant return of the recovered stolen pipes!

The pipes, which are original to the 1935 Aeolian-Skinner organ at Calvary, were stolen from Calvary Episcopal Church in May 2023 after being loaded onto a truck to travel to Spencer Organ Company in Boston for restoration. This historic organ has great intrinsic value and is an integral part of the life and worship at Calvary. These pipes have accompanied singing and provided music for Sunday and Lenten Preaching services, weddings, funerals, concerts, and so much more over the last 88 years.

Performed by the talented Todd Wilson, head of the organ department at The Cleveland Institute of Music and curator of the magnificent E.M. Skinner pipe organ at Severance Hall in Cleveland, OH, this rededication program on May 9 will include many audience favorites such as Bach's Passacaglia, music from Bizet's opera Carmen, a transcription of Danny Boy (Londonderry Air), and Widor's famous Toccata from the Fifth Organ Symphony. Also featured in this concert is a piece from the original dedication service in 1935: César Franck's Chorale in A Minor.

Don’t miss this extraordinary event honoring our musical heritage and showcasing this remarkable instrument. A gala reception will follow, sponsored by the families of Laurie & Brooks Monypeny and Ellie & Josh Hardison.
