Civil rights activist, literacy advocate, and 2015 Freedom Award honoree, Ruby Bridges is in Memphis for the Ruby Bridges Reading Festival at the National Civil Rights Museum. The festival features book giveaways, children’s activities, and storytelling from children’s book authors.  The event is free and open to the public.
