CELEBRATE JUNETEENTH AT THE ORPHEUM!
In partnership with Dr. Telisa Franklin and Memphis Juneteenth, the Orpheum Theatre Group is excited to host a screening of the 2023 movie musical The Color Purple (2023) in celebration of Juneteenth.
Torn apart from her sister and her children, Celie faces many hardships in life, including an abusive husband. With the support of sultry singer Shug Avery and stand-her-ground stepdaughter, Sofia, Celie ultimately finds extraordinary strength in a new kind of sisterhood.
