Black people love fine dining. We love rich conversation. We cherish spaces that honor our stories, our creativity, and our joy. Umami Amora is not just a dinner—it’s a one-of-a-kind Juneteenth celebration that brings all of that together in one unforgettable evening.
Join us as we highlight incredible Black chefs who are changing the food scene through flavor, story, and heart. Each dish served will be paired with a personal story—deep, emotional, and powerful—centered around the Black experience. Expect meaningful dialogue, connection, and elevated cuisine rooted in soul.
This is a unique event designed to pour back into Memphis’s Black culinary community, curated in partnership with The Leading Life Group by Kinah Burks, known for their work in emotional intelligence education.
All are welcome. We simply ask that you show up in shades of brown to reflect the beauty and unity of our people.
