Open Positions:

Blue Suede Brigade

Under the supervision of the Blue Suede Brigade Leads, Supervisors, and Director of Safety & Hospitality, the Blue Suede Brigade is responsible for patrolling Downtown Memphis as hospitality and safety ambassadors for the City of Memphis and Downtown; serving as supplemental eyes and ears for the business community and law enforcement agencies; and monitoring environmental conditions in the Downtown area.

Clean & Green Assistant

Under the supervision of the DMC’s Clean & Green Manager, the Clean & Green Assistant will join a dedicated team that is focused on keeping Downtown Memphis clean and attractive. A typical day will involve a wide range of active outdoor tasks such as removing litter from public spaces, helping to maintain landscaping and decorative planters, small painting projects, graffiti removal, and minor repairs to improve the visitor experience in public spaces. This is the perfect job for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to create a welcoming and beautiful Downtown for everyone to enjoy.

VP of Communications, Marketing, and Events

The VP of Communications, Marketing, and Events oversees the Downtown Memphis Commission’s (DMC) external and internal outreach efforts to promote Downtown Memphis, the Downtown Memphis Commission, and the Central Business Improvement District (CBID). The VP will be responsible for the development and implementation of promotional campaigns, digital marketing strategies, public relations initiatives, and public and private events. Along with these duties, the VP is responsible for managing personnel, the marketing budget, maintaining CBID and DowntownMemphis.com brand design guidelines, and developing corporate and community relationships.
