‘Celebrate What’s Right’ luncheon celebrates Memphis’ downtown growth, safety, civic pride
The New Tri-State Defender-New Memphis, a nonprofit dedicated to developing and retaining talent in the city, hosted its annual ‘Celebrate What’s Right’ luncheon on Nov. 5 at The Kent in Uptown. Local leaders from business, arts, culture, sports and civic life gathered to recognize progress and discuss the city’s next chapter.
President/CEO Anna Mullins Ellis opened the event by urging attendees to view the luncheon as a call to collective action.
“‘Celebrate What’s Right’ is more than a luncheon,” Ellis said. “We are celebrating the good that’s happening and committing to keep it going.”
