Food takeover at Bar Limina
Bar Limina, at 631 Madison Ave., is bringing in Chef Sean Smith for a food takeover on Aug. 8 and 9. The concept, Bar LUMPIA, will feature such dishes as lumpia (a savory, sweet egg roll), kinilaw (a Filipino-style ceviche), and kakanin (a sweet rice cake).
“Filipino food matters. It always has—and it should matter here in the South,” Smith said in a news release. “With this takeover, hopefully, people will be able to relate to what they are eating as something familiar yet also different—from a cuisine that’s only recently started to blossom in the country.”
