Historic Downtown building returns as venue

The former base of operations for developer Tom Intrator is now an event venue.

Cnct. design, the architects and project manager, kicked off the reopening of 18 S. Main St. in March with an Etowah Dinner series, showcasing the more than eight months of work put into bringing the historic building up to code.

The nearly 30,000-square-foot site is now a ground-floor event and assembly space with plans for future leasing, office buildout, and potential sale.

β€œOne of the things that makes 18 S. Main unique is the space itself," John Halford, president of Cnct. design, told MBJ. "It has a scale, light, and character that you do not find in historic Downtown buildings, and completing this phase finally allows that to be used rather than imagined.”
