Indie Memphis Film Festival to return. What to know about the relaunch
The Indie Memphis Film Festival is back.
Officials with the organization confirmed that the fest would return in 2026, following a one-year hiatus, with plans for a four-day event in the South Main Arts District, running Nov. 5-8.
The relaunch of festival will be led by new co-executive directors Alicia George and Joseph Carr. According to a news release from Indie Memphis, George, a veteran film and television producer with nonprofit experience, will “lead development and community engagement efforts.” While Carr, a longtime Indie Memphis staff member and former managing director, “will oversee strategy and operations.”
