Jollyburger lumpia and halo-halo: Filipino bar to open Downtown
Filipino bar Kuya will open on Friday, March 6, in the former Bedrock Eats & Sweets space Downtown.
Kuya’s opening will be from 4 to 10 p.m. at 327 S. Main St., offering an eight-item menu of popular dishes from past pop-ups, other reimagined Filipino dishes and frozen mocktails.
Chef Shayne Diaz, owner, said the bar won’t serve alcohol until the beer and liquor license is issued within a couple of weeks, but patrons can bring their own.
