Main Street will soon get new banners
The Downtown Memphis Commission’s Center City Development Corp. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, approved $83,100 for Bartlett-based LSI Graphic to create banners to display Downtown.
The banners, which will include four designs, will be displayed on the Main Street Mall and will highlight and celebrate the city’s identity.
“Pole banners are widely used in major cities to reinforce identity, welcome visitors and attract investment,” according to the CCDC staff report. “The Main Street Mall has not had banners along its full length in more than five years, making this investment an important step forward.”
