Memphis Art Museum has a plan for opening
The Memphis Art Museum is set to open on Front Street and Union Avenue in December 2026.
Memphis Brooks Museum of Art leaders made that announcement on Thursday, Oct. 30. 2025. The Brooks Museum will be renamed the Memphis Art Museum when the organization relocates from its historic Overton Park facility in Midtown to its new location Downtown.
Herzog & de Meuron and Memphis-based archimania are behind the 122,000-square-foot facility currently under construction.
