Memphis restaurateur lands Downtown location
John Paul Gagliano, the owner of Ecco, Tonica in Midtown and Downtown, and Libro inside Novel, said he's always looking for opportunities. One such opportunity came when John Vergos, co-owner of Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous and an investor in Novel, approached him about the Memphis Art Museum project. Vergos suggested that Gagliano meet with Zoe Kahr, the museum's executive director. So, he did.
Gagliano will open a new location of Libro inside Memphis Art Museum. The restaurant is set to open in January 2027. Memphis Art Museum will open Dec. 6, 2026.
