Mid-South to celebrate MLK Jr. Day with free NCRM admission, marches and more
Monday marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis has a big day planned to honor the legacy he left behind.
It's one of many ways to celebrate the civil rights icon.
There will be an annual MLK march in Downtown Memphis on Monday morning. People will begin to gather at 8 a.m. at the corner of North Main Street and A.W. Willis Avenue, with the march to the NCRM starting an hour later.
The free day at the NCRM will also feature a full day of special programs, family entertainment and youth activities.
