Millington coffee and breakfast restaurant expands to Downtown Memphis
A coffee and breakfast shop originating in Millington has expanded to Downtown Memphis, filling a restaurant space that has been vacant for more than a year.
Jay’s Coffee and Cuisine held a ribbon cutting in partnership with the Downtown Memphis Commission on Friday, Dec. 5. The restaurant has been in a soft opening phase since early November.
Owner Julian Earl is a busy man — already working at St. Jude, opening Jay’s first location in Millington three years ago was not something he ever planned to do. Earl acquired the property from a friend, and while he initially planned to open it as an event space, fate sent him down the restaurant route.
