New at the Downtown Y: Sit-ups, pull-ups and check-ups
The first of a series of new primary care clinics at local YMCA locations has soft-launched at the Fogelman YMCA Downtown.
The clinics, called ChamberCare Health Centers, aim to expand access to primary care while helping small businesses that want to offer employees health benefits but can’t afford to provide health insurance.
YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South teamed up with WeCare tlc, a Florida-based company that operates health centers nationwide, to open the clinics.
ChamberCare Health Centers will be operated by WeCare tlc, and the health centers’ full-time teams will include primary care physicians and health coaches.
“ChamberCare will empower businesses of all sizes to offer affordable, comprehensive primary care, improving health outcomes while strengthening the local workforce and economy,” said Raegan Garber Le Douaron, WeCare tlc president and CEO.
