The Commercial Appeal. October 27, 2020.
Four years after it opened, the landscape architects who helped design Big River Crossing have won a statewide design award for the project, receiving praise for the way the project ties into the area’s relationship with the river.
Memphis landscape architecture firm Ritchie Smith Associates received the Tennessee American Society of Landscape Architects Honor Award at a virtual ceremony, one of only two awarded in 2020.
“For a design firm, this is sort of a once-in-a-generation project,” said Ritchie Smith Associates founder Ritchie Smith.
