Red, white, and riverfront: Downtown Memphis Fourth of July celebration
After a multi-year hiatus, Fourth of July fireworks returned to the Memphis riverfront on Friday, July 4, 2025.
The Downtown Memphis Commission orchestrated the event, which spanned three locations: River Garden Park, Fourth Bluff Park and part of Riverside Drive.
The festivities ran from 6-9 p.m., ending with a fireworks display over the Mississippi River.
The return of the riverfront fireworks was a significant moment for Memphis, bringing a beloved tradition back to the heart of the city.
This free admission event was designed to offer something for everyone, from live entertainment, an array of food trucks, games, various vendors, and a host of festive activities suitable for all ages.
Among the vendors present was Ciara Campbell, owner of Pure and Wholly Natural Shop.
Campbell offered unique, authentic natural products and custom-made jewelry, aiming to provide items that couldn’t be found elsewhere.
“I want everyone to feel so special anytime they get something made by me,” Campbell said.
For Campbell, participating in events like this meant “everything” for her business.
