Shelby County leaders announced a $500 million investment to build a new Regional One Health campus in Downtown Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Shelby County is making a historic investment in healthcare with a $500 million commitment to build a new Regional One Health (ROH) campus in Downtown Memphis. Leaders said the project will secure the future of the county’s only public hospital for generations.

Regional One President and CEO Dr. Reginald Coopwood announced Monday, Sept. 29, that the new campus will be built on the site of the former Commercial Appeal building on Union Avenue. He said the development could be “the launch of the future of healthcare in Memphis.”
