The parking lot near Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Downtown Memphis may get a little larger soon.
On March 9, Memphis-based Cowles Building Company, LLC, filed a demolition permit with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for the property at 324 S. Front St. The estimated cost of razing is $149,000, according to the permit application.
The vacant three-story building is located at the intersection of Front Street and Vance Avenue. It is adjacent to the parking lot near Gus's and directly across from Old Dominick Distillery.
