What's that opening next door to Earnestine & Hazel's in Downtown Memphis?
A new outdoor neighborhood patio is coming to Downtown Memphis' South Main neighborhood.
On May 1, Gary Helms of KH525 LLC filed a certificate of appropriateness permit with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for a new outdoor area called The Patio at 529 S. Main St.
According to the permit filed, The Patio is a "vibrant, open-air gathering space located on South Main." The venue is the former green area next door to Earnestine & Hazel's. The space has been renovated with a walkway, gated entrance, patio tables and a TV screen in the back half of the open area.
