Vance Avenue Sidewalk Repair and Replacement Project

Request for Proposals (RFP)

The Downtown Memphis Commission (DMC) is soliciting proposals for qualified contractors to repair and/or replace approximately 1,200 linear feet (LF) of sidewalk along Vance Avenue between S. B.B. King Blvd and Hernando St. The intent of this project is to address missing and damaged sidewalk panels, improve ADA accessibility, and deliver near-term, visible improvements within the available budget.

Approximately one-quarter (1/4) of the sidewalk work may require curb replacement associated with field conditions. Where feasible, reconstructed sidewalk should provide a minimum clear width of 5 feet along the corridor.

The RFP is intended to identify a contractor (or team) capable of delivering construction services including sidewalk replacement/repair, curb work (as needed), and ADA curb ramp installation.
